Im Kim, I'm younger than 30 but older than 25 (haha)! I have two amazing sons, who mean the absolute world to me.  I am happily engaged to be Married next year to Kyle.  I also have a fox red labrador puppy, she's adorable!  I am close to the rest of my family too and I have some great friends ~ I feel blessed every day to have such amazing people in my life!

My Photography journey started around 6 years ago ~ Once I left school I worked in administration for a few years then I stopped for maternity leave with my oldest son. The thought of going back was so daunting, I wasn't doing what I wanted to do so I decided to try something new, I had always had an interest in Photography so it was an easy choice.  I started off doing an open university course online and then i went on to go to college & do my NC,HNC & HND ~ finishing with an amazing A grade (Not boasting but I was just so happy seeing that A on my certificate - College was difficult at times especially juggling the work and being a Mum).  My time at college was great for so many reasons - I met some great people & had the chance to experience different aspects of photography - Including shooting at London Fashion Week & visiting my idol's (Rankin) studio!

Once I left college I started doing social photography and then went on to shoot Wedding's too.  I also do product photography for Unique.  

 

My favourite part of photography is the connections (cheesy as that may sound) I love getting that connection and capturing that moment, looking at my images of people/pets I see more than just a smile and a pose.  Images with eye connection (looking at the camera) top it for me, although I do love candid images too.

I have loved working on Weddings over the past year and a half ~ my partner Kyle also does Videography at the Weddings & we work well as a team.  I love being part of the big day & really feel I know the couple and family afterwards ~

I enjoy working on all images and digitally enhancing them using photoshop/lightroom, I edit in the evenings when my children are relaxing or in bed and it works great for me as I can work it around my family life.
